  • EchoVera Exceeds $8B Invoice Value Processed with Intelligent OCR Plus

EchoVera, a provider of cloud finance automation solutions, has processed over $8 billion in AP invoices for the organizations it serves worldwide. Using leading edge technology with Intelligent OCR Plus for AP invoices, workflow automation, and PO approval and matching, EchoVera continues to innovate with flexible, configurable solutions and customer service.

“We’re excited to pass the $8 billion processing mark,” said Ralf Leitner, CEO of EchoVera, “as more and more companies are discovering the value of streamlining their AP processes from data entry to booking in their ERP or accounting system. EchoVera’s Intelligent OCR Plus seamlessly integrates with popular ERP and accounting systems removing the barrier for finance departments wanting to optimize processes that are time consuming and resource intensive.”

Intelligent OCR Plus automatically and intuitively performs header and line-item field data capture of supplier invoices, sales orders, statements and delivery documents. The technology requires minimal manual intervention. The automated workflow solution for online invoice approval reduces cycle times and provides a time-stamped audit trail.

Finance administrators struggling with manual data entry into their ERP or accounting system benefit from reduced manual error and other operational inefficiencies. Tedious manual work is eliminated and touchless document processing gives finance departments time for more value added tasks.

The advanced sales order management solution solves a lot of the problems that come with manual processes. Customers who send their sales orders by email are given a specific email address that has been assigned to process their orders. Intelligent OCR Plus maps the data directly from the PDF (or Word, XML, Excel, EDI) file, validates it, and then makes it available to the ERP for processing.

Proof of Delivery OCR automation reduces organizations’ dependence on manual data entry. It’s technology that intuitively picks up all the essential fields on delivery documents. The data is collected and forwarded to the accounting system or ERP.

  • Five Reasons SMB’s Like Local Restaurants Need a Mobile App

ASCENT Website Design & Digital Marketing has today made public Five facts about its Restaurant Mobile App development service ‘ASCENT Mobile’, now available by contacting us at (678) 263-8957 or visit our website: ASCENT Mobile which fans and consumers within the Digital Marketing space should find particularly interesting.

Five reasons Restaurants need a mobile app:

    1) The restaurant needs a mobile app in order to stay on top of their digital marketing

The more business restaurants do online, the more likely they are to survive in this competitive market. An app is one of the best ways for them to reach out and get new customers, who are increasingly turning away from traditional marketing methods like print ads, television commercials and radio spots.

    2) A restaurant needs a mobile app in order to increase sales

By using it as an additional channel for customer service. Customers can get information about the menu, hours of operation and contact information through an app that they can download onto their phone or tablet device. This allows them to be able to make reservations or ask questions while they are on the go or at home without having to call or visit the physical location of the restaurant

    3) Generate traffic by posting to popular social media sites, driving customers to your site

If you’re looking for new ways to generate traffic or increase your customer base, you should try posting to popular social media sites. These sites are a great way to show potential customers what you offer and why they should buy from you. You can also post links on these sites back to your own website, increasing the traffic and visits that come directly to your site

    4) A Mobile App can make it easier for customers to order food on the go and get it delivered

Ordering food from a mobile app has become a popular way to get food delivered. It is convenient for the customer because they can order their favorite dish with the touch of a finger on their phone. These apps have also made it easier for restaurants because they don’t have to manage as many orders.

    5) Boost engagement with valuable push notifications.

As a business, you want to engage your customers and prospects. That’s why push notifications are so important. They’re the perfect opportunity to show your customers how much you care about them and what they can get in return for their loyalty. The best way to create a successful push notification is by using the right message that will resonate with the customer on an emotional level and make them feel special.

ASCENT Mobile was released as part of ASCENT Website Design & Digital Marketing’s greater plans for 2023.

ASCENT Website Design & Digital Marketing got it’s start when Founder Terry Heights noticed a growing need for local restaurant’s needs regarding a mobile app in order to increase sales by using it as an additional channel for customer service. With Ten Years prior experience in the Digital Marketing world, Terry Heights decided to go ahead and start his Agency in 2015.

Terry Heights is quoted saying: “We like to do things to connect with our consumers. Things like To connect with our customers we hold monthly virtual meetings with our local chamber of commerce, and releasing these little factoids even after ASCENT Mobile hits the market are what make all the difference.”

ASCENT Mobile has been live for 2 years. To find out more bout ‘ASCENT Mobile’ and other local business App development, it’s possible to visit https://www.ascentwebsitedesign.com/mobile-apps

  • New Article Reviews State of Clinical Trial Enrollment from Non-White Patients

Decentralized clinical trial pioneer, ObvioHealth, recently posted a new article discussing the difference between white and non-white participation in clinical trials.

To understand the reason for this disparity, the company delved into the history of trauma that led to a distrust of the medical profession among ethnic groups.

One of the first points raised by the Virtual Research Organization (VRO) was the unethical and dangerous medical studies certain groups were subjected to without their knowledge or consent in the past.

Problems of language, culture, and religion have also contributed to the lack of participation, claims the company.

Finally, there are practical reasons, such as the inability to travel to the trial site due to a lack of job security, making people reluctant to leave work.

Regardless of reasons, this lack of trial participation goes on to create a disparity in medical outcomes, claims the company. One of the examples provided was enrollment in cancer trials.

The company explains that, in the U.S., death rates due to cancer have increased among the Native American and Alaskan Native populations in the last three decades. However, their participation in trials has declined.

Similarly, other ethnic minorities are also poorly represented. Even though 14% of the American population is Black, a 2015 cancer study only had 1.8% participation from that group.

This becomes even more problematic since 20% of the patients diagnosed with myeloma in the U.S. are Black, observes ObvioHealth.

When it comes to blood cancer, Black Americans represent an insignificant percentage of trial participants, even though they are twice as likely to be diagnosed with it than white Americans.

On the face of it, this might not seem like a problem, especially if there are enough trial participants. However, the fact is, treatment efficacy can vary among different population types, says the company. Symptoms, treatments, and side effects may differ based on a patient’s genetic markers.

Therefore, according to the VRO, representation in clinical trials is essential for the development of treatments that work effectively across ethnic groups.

The company pointed out similar discrepancies in trial participation in Australia, where 1.5% clinical trials focused on Aboriginal health.

Again, this lack of wider participation means that long-term medical problems cannot be identified in minority groups, states ObvioHealth. Also, potential issues cannot be identified early in the process of developing a treatment.

To fix this issue, ObvioHealth suggests that there needs to be efforts made to rebuild trust. That entails improving communications and transparency and actively engaging community members in the research process.

The VRO provided the example of indigenous people and how engaging community members might mean storing biological samples on sovereign indigenous land, and ensuring they are made available only to researchers who prioritize their needs.

Another important step, according to the company, might be to provide them with a research environment that feels emotionally and physically safe. Improving access, too, will help boost Indigenous and minority participation rates.

To that end, virtual enrollment might help create an inclusive environment, where the hurdle of geographical distance is eliminated. It also helps give participants more privacy, encouraging them to take part in trials for what might be considered taboo diseases and disorders.

Finally, virtual participation also helps in communication and transparency, claims ObvioHealth. With technological advances in remote patient monitoring and sophisticated remote telemedicine, virtual clinical trials are the answer to encouraging diversity in medical research.

ObvioHealth’s platform enables decentralized clinical trials through comprehensive and patient-friendly features. To view what the software offers, please visit https://www.obviohealth.com/

  • CCHR Reviews a Year of Child Abuse Allegations Against Behavioral Institutions

As the year draws to an end, Citizens Commission on Human Rights International, a mental health industry watchdog, reviews the campaign that has raised awareness about the abuse of “troubled teens” in a behavioral and psychiatric industry that has put profit before patient welfare. During the past seven years, CCHR has sent tens of thousands of notifications about child abuse in America’s behavioral treatment system to state and federal legislators, including about restraint deaths and the need for legislative protections. Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Paris Jackson, Kat Von D, and recently Collin Gosselin and “White Boy Summer” rapper Chet Hanks (son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson) have all spoken out about the trauma of being held against their will in behavioral facilities during their teens.

In February this year, The Private Equity Stakeholder Project report, “The Kids Are Not Alright: How Private Equity Profits Off of Behavioral Health Services for Vulnerable and At-Risk Youth, revealed how for-profit behavioral facilities had become a gravy train for investors in a $23 billion a year “child abuse” industry.[1]

Since Hilton spoke out in 2020 in her documentary, This is Paris, about being locked up, at age 16, in the Provo Canyon School behavioral facility in Utah, many others have warned of similar experiences. Recently, Chet Hanks, 32, revealed he was sent to a southern Utah “wilderness program” as a 17-year-old in 2008 to handle his addiction and behavioral issues. He detailed the harrowing experience, much the way that Paris Hilton has done. He believes his parents were manipulated as they had fame and money and he ended up staying longer than most other teens. He was forced to do “manual labor” in the remote wilderness.[2]

His parents would have been unaware of an October 2007 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report that found restraint deaths and other abuses in youth behavioral facilities.[3]

Collin Gosselin, 18, from the reality TV show Jon and Kate Plus 8 also opened up about his experience in an institution owned by a for-profit behavioral facility company that his mother–then divorced from Jon–forcibly sent him to at age 12 believing it would deal with his behavioral issues.[4] The institution was a “scary place,” Collin said, “I think being in a place like that does more damage than it helps you.” His father ultimately removed the teen from the hospital after the boy begged for help in a 2017 letter.[5]

Both celebrities were lucky to survive the controversial “troubled teen” programs. Collin says he now concentrates on a positive future. Chet said his parents have always supported him and he has now found peace in solitude and has strengthened his relationship with God.

But the abuses in these types of “troubled teen” facilities and psychiatric hospitals continue to this day. On December 1, 2022, NewsChannel 5 Investigates in Tennessee reported the case of two teenage girls who died from overdosing on over-the-counter medication while at an Oak Plains behavioral facility. The girls gained access to a nurse’s station to take the drug, and fell unconscious, dying shortly afterward.[6]

Online the facility says it treats troubled kids ages 5 to 17. Since 2017, Montgomery County Sheriff has received 238 reports that vary from assaults to runaway calls, and many others.[7]

In December 2022, a former medical director of a psychiatric facility for children and adolescents in Virginia was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of object sexual penetration by force, relating to allegations made by two former patients.[8] The hospital has been under criminal investigation by the Virginia State Police for child abuse and neglect since October 17, 2017.[9] The Charlotte Observer recently reported how child abuse and neglect in North Carolina psychiatric facilities is common, yet action to handle the problem and bring accountability is rare.[10]

Many well-meaning parents end up deciding on such programs for their children after being given false assurances of “efficacy” by those who have a financial stake in the matter. However, there is no science to a “wilderness program” component in adolescent therapy.[11]

CCHR says the year’s end must come with a commitment from legislators, policymakers, and educational reformists to remove psychiatric and psychological programs from troubled children and teens’ lives.

  • Newmarket, QLD Lean Suits EMS Training & Muscle Toning: Fitness Studio Now Open

The new LeanSuits Fitness training studios utilize EMS technology for workouts. EMS, or Electrical Muscle Stimulation, uses high-frequency electrical currents to stimulate muscle contractions while exercising.

More details can be found at https://leansuits.com.au

The studio’s EMS training requires participants to wear LeanSuits(TM), which are skin-tight bodysuits with integrated, wireless EMS technology. The suits–which are engineered in Germany and hand-stitched in Italy–are designed to stimulate over 90% of the muscle tissue of over 300 muscles in the body. Post-workout, every suit is sterilized using an Ozone chamber.

Backed by FDA-validated research, EMS, in combination with low-impact training, can increase vertical jump, strength, speed, endurance, performance, power, and flexibility. Studies have also shown that EMS training can improve metabolic and cardiovascular response and reduce back pain and the load on joints.

The new LeanSuits Fitness locations offer a variety of classes designed to help customers achieve their fitness goals. The Intense Training, Get Lean, and Get Toned programs are full-body strength and muscle workouts, while the Abs and Glutes program targets those specific parts of the body. Also offered are the Extreme Lean Mats and Bikes programs, which are high-intensity cardio-focused workouts.

Classes are typically booked for 45 minutes; however, just 20 minutes of EMS training delivers the same benefits as 2-4 hours of regular training. Moreover, EMS training continues to engage the body for up to 72 hours after a workout, meaning customers are still reaping the benefits of wearing LeanSuits(TM) long after they leave the gym.

LeanSuits Fitness gives customers three membership options to choose from–Lean (1 session per week), Ultra Lean (2 sessions per week), and Extreme Lean (3 sessions per week). They also offer a 10-Session Membership Pack and an Ultra Lean Fortnight Plan (2 sessions per week or 4 sessions across two weeks). Membership plans are billed weekly or fortnightly and are accepted at both the Newmarket and Toowong locations.

A satisfied client said: “After doing LeanSuits for the past few months I have seen a noticeable improvement in my muscle tone and strength. Seeing results so quickly makes it much easier to motivate myself each week for classes.”

Austin Accident Lawyer, run by the Traub Law Office, founded by Austin Truck Accident Lawyer and personal injury attorney Andrew Traub. Traub’s Law Firm is dedicated to helping those who have been injured in truck and motorcycle accidents in and around the Austin area, and has recently released a new resource to help Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Austin residents with personal injury claims. Motor vehicle accidents happen every day, and they often result in property damage, personal injury, and loss of life.

Traub recently released a tip-sheet for Texas residents – particularly in and around his home city of Austin, who have been in an accident with a commercial truck driver, particularly if the accident was due to truck driver error, distracted driving, aggressive driving, or was otherwise not the fault of the injured party. That sheet is titled “31 Tips to Handling Your Own Personal Injury Settlement” and can be found on Traub’s resource page: https://austinaccidentlawyer.com/resources/

Among the unique pieces of legal advice given by Traub in his resource, numbers 15 and 16 flow together and are: “Attend the [negligent driver’s] court appearance if he was charged with a traffic violation. Hopefully, you are well enough to do this. Bring a court reporter to [his] court appearance so that whatever he says might be “used against him” later. (Little surprise: most Texas traffic courts do not record what goes on in the courtroom).” These insights can greatly increase the likelihood of attaining a successful verdict should one wish to pursue their own personal injury settlement.

Hiring an experienced truck accident attorney can greatly increase the likelihood of a positive outcome – whether a judgement at trial, or an insurance settlement. At Traub Law Office, Mr. Traub understands the physical, emotional and financial trauma that these accidents can cause. He is therefore committed to helping victims of these accidents receive the compensation and justice they are entitled to – and has successfully been able to reach settlements and judgments for his clients worth millions of dollars when initial insurance offers were well below their maximum limits – often under $100,000. This money can be a windfall for injured parties after these auto accidents – particularly when they involve a semi – truck and commercial truck insurance companies, and can help replace lost income, cover mental anguish, medical care, physical therapy, and more. Traub shared some of these stories when he was featured on a recent episode of The Attorney Post entitled “Andrew Traub | Austin Accident Lawyer And Texas Car Injury Attorney – Dallas Houston Truck Accidents,” which can be viewed on YouTube: https://youtu.be/1G8wxbW7x04

Mr. Traub’s experience in representing truck and motorcycle accident victims is extensive. He has worked on cases involving serious injuries, wrongful death, and cases involving uninsured or under-insured drivers. He also has experience in dealing with insurance companies and other entities to ensure that his clients receive the maximum compensation available under the law.

In addition to his legal services, Mr. Traub also provides his clients with compassionate and personalized service. He understands the physical, emotional and financial difficulties that his clients are facing, and he is dedicated to helping them through this difficult time.

A personal injury attorney should be hired for a commercial accident because they can provide expertise in handling the complexities of such cases. They understand the legal process and can help to ensure that the injured party receives the compensation they are entitled to. An attorney can also help to identify any potential sources of liability to ensure the injured party is fully protected. Moreover, a personal injury attorney should be hired for a commercial accident because they possess the expertise and experience to analyze the facts and circumstances of the accident, evaluate liability, and pursue the best possible outcome for the injured party. With their specialized knowledge of the relevant laws, they can provide sound advice and guidance throughout the legal process. Additionally, they can provide invaluable assistance in negotiating with insurance companies and other entities and ensure that the injured party’s rights are protected.

For Austin & Round Rock, TX residents who have been injured in a truck or motorcycle accident, Traub’s Law Office provides a no-cost consultation, and there is never a fee for his clients until a successful judgment or settlement has been reached.
