The IRS also reminds U.S. taxpayers living abroad that the due date for filing their tax returns and paying any taxes owed is still April 15th, even if they are living outside of the United States. However, U.S. taxpayers living abroad may be eligible for an automatic two-month extension to file their tax returns without requesting an extension.

Sydney, New South Wales Feb 20, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – Drive Change with the support of MedReleaf Australia as the seed funder today announced the launch of the Drive Change crowd-funding campaign. This campaign will help create a platform for equal driving rights and law reform for legal medical cannabis patients.

The team at Drive Change is seeking help to change the current drug-driving laws. Donations to the GoFundMe campaign will help make a difference in drug law reform history in Australia. As Drive Change is a volunteer organisation, they are looking to raise $70,000 to put on a full-time resource to dedicate their time wholly and solely to help educate law enforcement and lobby our State Governments for these laws to change.

MedReleaf Australia Executive Director Nathan Davis is a supporter of this campaign and believes that drastic change is required. “MedReleaf Australia is proud to be a seed funding partner in the Drive Change initiative. This is the single biggest issue for patient access in Australia since legal medical cannabis was established by the TGA many years ago. It is a change that is long overdue to give equality to patients regardless of the medication that their doctor prescribes”.

In Australia, with the exception of Tasmania, cannabis is the only legally prescribed medication for which you lose your license when testing positive for THC presence, not impairment. Medical cannabis is no less safe than other potentially impairing medications (such as opiates and benzodiazepines) that are prescribed by Doctors in Australia, yet patients are penalised for taking their medication.
