Introducing Gardner Metal Recycling’s New State-of-the-Art Facility in Austin!

Gardner Metal Recycling, a prominent Austin, Texas-based company, has come a long way since its humble beginnings in the 1970s. Driven by its commitment to helping contractors, utility service providers, and manufacturing and industrial sectors, the company has taken a major leap forward by relocating to a brand new, expansive facility at 9701 U.S. Hwy 290 E. Service Rd in Austin, Texas.

Starting out on E. 4th Street, Gardner Metal Recycling operated there for over three decades before moving to 8410 S. Congress Ave. Now, they have come full circle, returning to their roots in East Austin, but this time to a facility nine times larger than the original! This incredible expansion not only boosts their processing capacity but also provides easier access for the Austin community to actively participate in recycling endeavors.

Designed with efficiency in mind, the new facility caters to a wide array of scrap metal recycling needs across various industries. Gardner Metal Recycling collaborates with contractors, manufacturers, and utility service providers to develop tailored plans, ensuring the best possible experience. They even offer collection services at job sites, or customers can drop off their scrap at the facility. Gardner’s knowledgeable staff sorts the collected material, helping customers secure the best prices for their scrap.

Andy Johnson, President and Chief Operating Officer of Gardner Metal Recycling, attributes the company’s success to their fantastic customer base. “As our customers have expanded their own operations, we’ve evolved to meet their service needs. Whether it was investing in more trucks or shipping containers, buying balers for material compression, or increasing our facility size as we have now, it is all part of us wanting to exceed our customers’ needs.”

Welcoming all types of metals, such as copper , aluminum, brass , and stainless steel, Gardner Metal Recycling is thrilled to embark on this new journey in East Austin. Johnson reflects, “It’s interesting that we have come full circle back to this side of town. We are grateful that we have been able to grow as a business over these many years.”

Join Gardner Metal Recycling in celebrating their exciting new chapter, and contribute to a sustainable future for the greater Austin community!
